Company Core Values

Excellence is the end result of knowing, understanding, embracing, and achieving core values. In the fall of 2007, field and office personnel met off-site to discuss core values.

"We wanted to identify what absolute principles determine the way Bachmann Construction Company operates," says CEO Mark McNally. "Essentially, we wanted to analyze the company DNA."

The result was a short but powerful list:

• Integrity
• Teamwork
• Respect
• Communication
• Excellence

"Our integrity reflects the honesty and fairness with which we treat our clients and employees," says McNally. "Teamwork has been an integral part of our culture since the company was founded in 1954. And of course teamwork cannot be effective without open, considerate communication and respect for each other. Having worked as a business consultant for many years prior to joining Bachmann, I know firsthand how communication is something that many companies struggle with. At Bachmann we make an extra effort to make sure communication between our employees and our clients is timely and efficient."

Writing a list of core principles down is one thing—practicing them is something else. "These are the standards by which we operate, and all are equally important," stresses McNally. "We have achieved and maintained our reputation for excellence by making sure our core principles are respected and applied every day, both in the office and on the job site. When we do this, success naturally follows."
