Bachmann Process

It is our belief that organizations function best when every member of that organization knows what is expected of them, feels valued as a member, and is able to address ideas or concerns regarding the solidarity of the group. With these beliefs in mind Bachmann Construction has adopted a Total Quality Management outlook to decision making in our company. All employees are encouraged to suggest opportunities for improvement and provide input on ways to improve our quality and service.

Beyond the individual, Bachmann Construction also uses Total Quality Management as an ongoing process to make decisions as a team. When needs or issues arise, a committee of five to ten Bachmann Construction employees is formed. We try to make all committees as diverse as possible, drawing on people with a variety of responsibilities within the company, all with different areas of expertise. The committee then works to address the issues or needs at hand, working as a group to find viable and agreeable solutions to recommend to the Board of Directors. Sometimes these solutions are as simple as a reordering of priorities, and sometimes the solution requires a total procedural overhaul.

Over the years Bachmann Construction has found this management style to be very effective, providing employees the opportunity to direct and contribute to the life and growth of our company. Some examples of our successful committees are the Safety Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Golf-Outing Committee, Holiday Party Committee, Marketing Committee, Website Committee, and many more. Using these committees we have been able to implement change while building a stronger community among our employees. We believe that this process has aided in Bachmann Construction's continued success because, although we have grown into a large business with over 100 employees, we still encourage each employee to be as responsible for and dedicated to the future of Bachmann Construction as our founders were over 50 years ago.
