Al Bachmann will become the company’s Chief Operations Officer.

MADISON, WI—Al Bachmann, Vice President and CEO of Bachmann Construction Company, will become the company's Chief Operations Officer (COO) in early 2007.

Founded in 1954, Bachmann Construction Company is a family-owned, second-generation, commercial/retail/residential general contractor with annual revenues exceeding $25 million. Under Bachmann's leadership the company has enjoyed a 25% annual growth rate. Accordingly, In Business Magazine’s 2007 Book of Lists ranked Bachmann Construction as the sixteenth-fastest growing company in Dane County in 2006.

"Being COO will allow me to do what I truly love—working closely with project managers and 'the field' throughout the entire construction process," says Bachmann. "I was spending about 80% of my time on administrative responsibilities—this way the company will be able to capitalize on my proven strengths."

Bachmann has retained Dan Dieck from The Dieck Group Inc. to lead the search for CEO candidates. "We want to find a highly experienced individual with the skills to lead a business of this size, who fits well with our 'family' corporate culture, and who will manage our continued growth," says Al Bachmann.
